Angular Annie
Personal work.
I have always been fascinated with tangents, angles and alignment in illustrations of the human form, and I wanted to try and create a pinup full of these things, inviting the eye to explore it.
It was a challenge, as I forcibly restricted myself to just 4 angles, and tried to make as many things as possible echo and align with other shapes across the figure.
I chose a photo of the model Marie Devilreux as a starting inspiration, and ended up with a homage to the Bettie Page style retro pinup look. I did it entirely in 3Ds Max with flat, layered polygon shapes.
Special thanks to Maria Picassó - Illustration for her inspiring great work and advice!

Marielle - summer
Personal work.
Another picture of one of my favourite people - my friend Marielle.
I tried to make it more stylised and illustrative than the last one I did, and make it a full body one with a narrative as well. We both like similar music, and the last time I saw her was at a music festival, so I figured I'd do a nice summery one with a festival setting.
You can check out Marielle's painting work here:

Here are some photo references i used for her outfit, pose, setting and face.
Here is the previous portrait I did of Marielle back in 2013:

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu
Personal work.
I'm a big fan of Japanese pop star Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, and I was inspired to do this pic of her, featuring an colourful outfit and aesthetic of my own design.
It has a mix of traditional Japanese elements like Noren curtains, Shinto robes, temple bells and ropes, Happi coats and Shide paper streamers, all mixed with the modern idol style and vivid decora culture Kyary is known for.
As well as her imaginitive music videos, I used many photos for reference, like these:

Monster Meg
Monster Meg - personal work
Meet Meg and her monster truck!
Ive wanted to do a pinup involving a car of some sort for a while now, but never found a fun, unique and non-corny way to do it - until now! Why a monster truck? Because they're badass!
Also - i'm now on Patreon! If you support me, you get access to a lot more of my work in progress images, tips, higher resolution images and other goodies.

Meet Doris!
She's a 1950's American pin-up gal inspired by the art of Shane Glines and Gil Elvgren, and Disney's 'Paperman' short film - 3 of my favourite things!
I plan to do a bunch of illustrations featuring her in different vintage outfits and scenarios.
Concept / design by me.

Personal work
Meet Vanessa!
I wanted to create a curvy pinup that explores dark skin, a dark background, and low light, but with vivid neon accents. She was a lot of fun to work on!
She's not based on anyone in particular - she's all original.
PS - this pic is best viewed on a dark background.

Personal work.
After doing 5 years of christmas pics featuring my Trixie character, I thought i'd give some other characters a chance, starting with Doris!
Like the other Doris illustration that i did earlier this year, i wanted to give it a retro illustrative 1950s pinup kind of feel.
Happy christmas folks, and thanks for all the support this year!

Trixies for Simon. O latex
I'm happy to show a series of new Trixie pinups I did as a (paid) collaboration with Simon-o.com - Latex Fetish Fashion!
I never usually 'hire out' my personal characters (especially Trixie!), but this was a perfect tie-in i was happy to be involved with, as i already knew and liked their work. These 5 illustrations are for a series of themed gift vouchers Simon O have for sale.

Cutie Goaties
Personal work.
I've done a lot of great freelance work for Hasbro (my most valued clients) on the My Little Pony toy franchise over the last 4 years. This eventually turned me into a big fan of the show.
I was inspired by My Little Pony and the game ‘Them’s fightin’ herds’ (both featuring the lovely character designs of Lauren Faust) to design and make my own cute quadrupeds in a cartoony / toy style for a personal project.
I like goats more than horses, so here are the ‘Cutie Goaties’! From left to right, they are Fray, Squee and Shady.
